Membership
Joining GFWC–South Brunswick Islands means becoming part of a passionate group of local women dedicated to making a difference in Brunswick County.
As a chapter of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, we combine local service with the strength of a national network. Our members work together on causes like education, food insecurity, and supporting women and children—while also contributing to national initiatives such as Domestic Violence Awareness and Advocates for Children.
Whether you're new to the area or looking for a way to give back, GFWC-SBI offers connection, purpose, and community.



Member Responsibilities
Membership in GFWC–SBI comes with both privilege and purpose. As a volunteer organization, we thrive when members are actively engaged. All members are expected to:

Attend at least four club meetings per year

Be punctual and participate fully in meetings and major events

Serve on committees and contribute your time and talents

Support projects and fundraisers voted on by club membership

Pay dues promptly

Vote in your county of residence

Participate in discussions and decision-making during meetings

Respect the views of others and uphold club decisions

Refrain from discussing internal club matters outside meetings

Practice courtesy, enthusiasm, and discretion at all times

Dues
Annual dues for GFWC–South Brunswick Islands are $75. These dues help support our club’s programs, service initiatives, and participation in state and national Federation activities.
Dues are payable to GFWC-SBI and are submitted annually. Prompt payment is appreciated to ensure our club remains in good standing with GFWC-NC and GFWC.
Club Categories
The traditional membership group, welcoming women of all ages who are committed to community service, leadership, and fellowship. GFWC–SBI falls into this category.
Focused on women ages 18–40 who are balancing young adulthood, careers, and families with a desire to serve and lead in their communities.
Geared toward young women ages 12–18, Juniorette Clubs offer leadership training and service opportunities through schools and youth organizations.
Clubs that operate across multiple states or regions and are directly affiliated with GFWC Headquarters. Not currently offered through GFWC–SBI.
GFWC clubs established outside the United States that contribute to international volunteerism. While GFWC–SBI is based in North Carolina, we proudly support GFWC’s global impact.
